Meet Dr. Troy Meyer

Finding my Passion

Our greatest gifts often lie next to our deepest wounds.” Philip McKernan

Dr. Troy MeyerI am a Putnam County guy at heart, and am beyond excited to be back in the area serving the community I grew up in and love! Born and raised outside of Columbus Grove, I spend most of my youth active in sports or on the family farm. Now, I am very grateful to be member of the MFC team to help impact the health and lives of kids and families. Morman Family Chiropractic provides health and wellness, but we also provide a place that treats you like family and feels like home.

My chiropractic story starts when I was in high school, actively running cross country and track. I started seeing Dr. Needlers and Dr. Ellerbrock to help boost my performance in sports. I loved coming in to get adjusted and them teaching me about how the body works! Having always enjoyed science and health class in school myself, this was right up my alley.

However, by my senior year, I had several injuries that kept me out competition for most of my last year. Naturally I was feeling a bit misplaced, so I began looking toward my future – and what I wanted to do with my life. As I continued getting adjusted, I began to realize how interesting chiropractic was, and that it seemed like a very fulfilling and rewarding career. I know I was (and still very much am) very grateful for all the help they provided me. Thus, began my journey of becoming a chiropractor, and now I get to say every day that ‘I am living my dream’!

Chiropractic Education

I am originally from Columbus Grove where in grade school, I attended St. Anthony’s Catholic school; then graduated high school from Columbus Grove in 2013. From there I moved onto Miami University, where I graduated in 2017 with a degree in biology.

Finishing up, I received my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in October of 2020. While studying at Palmer, I was fortune to have the opportunity to shadow at MCF — where they introduced to their culture and mission. I was always impressed with their passion for the job and what a fun, inviting environment they created. Now, I am excited to have joined the MFC and be a part of their team and family!

Outside of the Office

Outside the office, I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends. Mostly you will see me helping my brothers on the farm. Otherwise, I also love being outdoors in nature…hiking, backpacking, swimming, you name it, I probably love it! I especially enjoy the summer and being on water. Other hobbies include getting lost in good book or show – and rollercoasters (the bigger, the better)! Growing up, I was a regular at Cedar Point and King’s Island. Finally, my faith is important to me, spending time with God in prayer and meditation to be grateful for all the people/opportunities/things that I have been so blessed with in my life.
