Meet Dr. Troy Meyer

Finding my Passion

I have come to believe that our greatest gifts often lie next to our deepest wounds; and I am certainly no exception.

Dr. Troy headshotMy chiropractic story starts of in high school, running cross country and track. I started seeing the local chiropractor to help boost my performance in sports. However, by my senior year, I had a series of injuries that pretty much kept me out my entire last year.

Naturally I was feeling a bit misplaced because I lost my identity, so I began to look to my future and what I wanted to do with my life. As I continued getting adjusted and asking my chiropractic more questions, I began to realize how cool chiropractic was, and that it seemed like a very fulfilling and rewarding career. Thus began by 7 year path of becoming a chiropractor, and now I get to say every day that ‘I am living the dream’ that started all those years ago. Now I am grateful to be back in Putnam County near family and to serve people with high-quality chiropractic care.

Chiropractic Education & Experience

I am originally from Columbus Grove and grew up in the country. I spent most of my youth active in sports and on the family farm. In middle school I attended St. Anthony’s Catholic school; then graduated from Columbus Grove high school in 2013. From there I moved onto Miami University, where I graduated in 2017 with a degree in biology.

Finishing up, I received my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in October of 2020. While studied a Palmer I interned in their rehab department where I learned a variety of interesting techniques. I was fortune to have shadowed MCF while I was in chiropractic school — and learning more about their culture, mission, and passion I am beyond blessed and excited to have joined the MFC family! Now I continue to learn and grow every day in practice serving patients.

Life Outside of the Office

When I am not working, I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends. Mostly you may see me helping my brothers farm. I also enjoy being outdoors in nature hiking, backpacking, swimming, climbing, etc. I especially love the summer and being on water — whether that be on a boat, playing some beach volleyball, or relaxing pool side. Other hobbies I like are reading, watching a good movie/show, and rollercoasters (the bigger, the better)!

Growing up I was a regular at Cedar Point and King’s Island. Finally, my faith is important to me, making sure I am spending time with God in prayer and meditation, and taking time to be grateful for all the people/opportunities/things that I have been so blessed with in my life.
